Photographing Birds in Flight

Photographing birds in flight is incredibly difficult to do well but hugely rewarding when you get it right. I have learned more about the art of photography from this genre than any other and I have had a lot of fun in the process.
To be successful at photographing birds in flight, you must set your camera up correctly and use the most appropriate equipment. You also need to apply good technique, practise a lot and enjoy a little bit of good fortune.
Whilst I can’t guarantee your luck, this tutorial describes pretty much everything you need to know and do to increase your success rate when photographing birds in flight. I suggest you follow the tutorial through from beginning to end and don’t be surprised if you need to go over some parts more than once.
